The Olof Palme International Peace Volunteer Corps of the Olof Palme Peace Foundation International conducted a kimchi sharing volunteer activity such as dipping 150 kimchi to be distributed to low-income families such as elderly people living alone at the cafeteria in the Green church in Gumi City from 10 am on November 28.
The event, which was held jointly by the Olof Palme International Peace Volunteer Corps and the Green Church, was attended by representatives of the OPPFI Asia General Manager Kang Kyung-gu (Central Photo above), and Kim Jong-soo, standing deputy leader, and officials of the Green Church, who gathered together to soak kimchi and finish the packaging cleanly.
Kang Kyung-gu, head of Asia, said, "Everybody have suffering time because of Covid 19 and The weather has become cold. I hope that poor neighbor could live warm and healthy this cold winter with kimchi, which is made with warm and beautiful hearts. "The International Peace Corps will continue to carry out volunteer activities for the people in the blind spot."
On the other hand, the Olof Palme Peace Foundation International contributes to social contribution activities such as delivering oral cleansing to elderly people, disabled people and low-income families who have difficulty brushing teeth in Gumi City and Gimcheon City. In particular, Kang Kyung-Gu was awarded by Sports Dong-A on November 12th 2020.
